As soon as we entered the airport, we were greeted by a local person that paraded in Bahamian colours. There was also a live entertainment band that sounded like Jazz music. The Immigration line was unbelievably long. But when we got to the Immigration officer, it was a quick process.
Our main mode of transport was called a bus. We used the church bus. A team of fifty-four (54) persons were accommodated at Pastors Antoine & Judy St. Louis home. We reached just in time to settle in and unpack. That evening, we prayed, worshipped and had a house meeting.
All aboard!

Is support hurricane Dorian survivors while we were in the Bahamas. Is There Not A Cause? (ITNAC) partnered with Victory Chapel Church of the Nazarene and United Haitians Association of the Bahamas (UHAB).
Legacy Makers International was also one of our partners that trained persons to be trauma support coaches. They also provided trauma support and prayer for over one hundred and fifty (150) Haitian survivors, that were greatly affected by hurricane Dorian and other tragedies in the Bahamas.

We sorted bags of clothing and packed food hampers. Over, one hundred and fifty (150) food hampers were distributed along with clothing from ITNAC and Victory Chapel Church. The survivors expressed their gratitude for the clothing and hampers they had received.
A mass care camp was set up where survivors shared their testimonies and stories about how they were affected by hurricane Dorian. One lady lost her home which she had recently purchased that was only one (1) year old. She stayed at a building and while she was there, the roof came off. She prayed and said " Jesus of Nazareth", and the roof came back on to the building!
I was like wow! This Jesus, he never ceases to amaze me!
Another lady said that when she first heard about the hurricane, she didn't evacuate immediately because she thought it wasn't serious. But then, a relative urged her to leave and then she left. Otherwise, she would have been dead today.
I felt a deep sadness in my heart when I heard their testimonies. The team was very emotional after the survivors shared.
But, one of the ladies after she had shared, praised the Lord and encouraged her fellow mates to serve Jesus Christ before it's too late. That lady left a lasting impact on me because of her courage, strength & faith in the Lord, through it all.
We then prayed and shared the gospel and several persons gave their hearts to Christ.

Broken Crayons had a (Youth Edition) event which focused on testimonies, stories, prayer and deliverance.
At the event, we had music Ministers from Trinidad, such as Axia Nation, Brandon Best, Jayrich & Samuel and Kerry Ann Duncan.
Our team shared their testimonies and encouraged the young people in their walk with Christ. Afterwards, We had prayer and deliverance.
The Monday before the first team left,
we had a Broken Crayons, (Adult Edition) event at Central Church of the Nazarene. The team waited for some time before persons came to the service. In the end, about six (6) persons attended. That service was indeed for ITNAC team members became we ended up being ministered to. Most of us received prayer and deliverance.

Some of us shared our stories about how the Lord had used and showed us that even in our brokenness we can still colour.
One of our team members said it best,
"Broken Crayons can still colour better".

At Central Church of the Nazarene |
The team attended Sunday service at Victory Chapel Church of the Nazarene. The message preached by Pastor Judy was well received.
Itnac had a Trinbagonian food Que at Victory Chapel Church, where we sold Trini food, preserves and snacks. We made pholourie, roti, curry potato, chicken, and pumpkin. That day was intense. First, our transport arrived late. Then, there were some persons who were impatient when we got there because they had been waiting for some time. We ended cooking at the venue and it was like, the food couldn't cook fast enough.
But thankfully they enjoyed the food and kept coming back to purchase more. So, in the end, everything worked out.
The night before the first team left, we went to a restaurant and had some Bahamian food. I tried conch fritters, which is similar to saltfish Accra and it actually tasted pretty good. The only difference is that you replace the saltfish with conch. Apparently, conch is a very popular Bahamian delicacy.

With Pastor Judy & Pastor Antoine St.Louis |
My experience on this trip was emotional intense & impactful. It was indeed a blessing to have served with my ITNAC team members under the leadership of Mrs Avonelle Hector-Joseph and to have also worked alongside our partners in the Bahamas.
I am very thankful, to Aunt Judy and Uncle Antoine and their family for embracing us as their own. May they lack no good thing for their hospitality and love.
Thanks to all who prayed, gave financially and to all who showed support.
May the Lord bless you for your obedience and partnership with me on this journey to be his hands and feet.
I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for his protection, love, and his provision.
I'm thankful for the guidance of his Holy Spirit throughout this entire experience.
I leave you with this scripture:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
Be bless
