Ministry
We started the new year with a bang! Quarry Street in East Port-of-Spain families were affected by a lantern that caught their entire homes on fire. There were also other areas such as Chatam, Carrpichaima and Arouca that had a similar experience. The team distributed home cooked meals, clothing and beds to fire survivors, and one of the survivors were able to receive a brand new 13 Cubic ft White Westinghouse Fridge.
Finally six (6) barrels were shipped to Jamaica. It had been a very long time since anything was shipped to Jamaica. In Trinidad, various communities became recipients of bread, through our partnership with Linda's Bakery.

On to the next project, called "Our Brother's Keeper." It is also known as the "Love Caravan." This is where we would visit numerous communities and assist with cleaning, distribution of clothing, hampers, burgers, hot dogs, drinks etc. Gospel artists would also perform and share the love of Christ. ITNAC partnered with different persons to bring relief on this project. Beetham Gardens, Laventille, Rio Claro, Guayaguayare, Cedros, Valencia, Arima, Morvant, Febeau Village are some of the communities that would have benefited. From the Love Caravan, Portals Opening Destiny (POD) was launched. It mainly assists micro Entrepreneurs or businesses to start or boost their business. We would provide capital goods, training and mentoring through this program.
9 Storey (Morvant) Cleaning & Painting |
The team assisted the community of 9 Storey in Morvant with cleaning and painting. In addition, we were able to receive the support of National coach Angus Eve and other coaches from the area. Two football programs received a total of seven (7) balls.
Vacation & A Birthday
I had been praying about taking my vacation in Tobago around my birthday since last year. This year the door was opened. I reached out to someone for information regarding accommodation in Tobago. Later on, she referred to someone who has a Guest house with affordable prices. While I was speaking with the referral, the lady revealed that the Lord wants her to bless me with the accommodation free of charge!!! Won't he do it? I was Amazed and beyond thankful for the Lord's favor and to her for being obedient.
That very same day tickets were booked and confirmed for my travel days, which were a total of (4) four days.
The Lord allowed so many persons to bless me in preparation towards this trip. A heartfelt thank you to all who assisted me in one way or the other.
Immediately after I settled in my apartment, I went on the Buccoo Reef & Nylon pool tour. The glass bottom boat experience was indeed very memorable. The Nylon pool was my favourite part of the tour. In the Nylon pool, we were able to stand in the middle of the ocean and bathe in beautiful white sand water. No Man's land was nice. The water was warm and calm. Later that night, I went for dinner and had squid for the very first time!

The following day I went to a church called Divine Restoration Worship Tabernacle. The sister that had blessed me with the accommodation invited me to their service. That day was also communion and I partook with the church.
The service was quite different to what I was accustomed too. I had never received so much grape juice before when I took communion in the past. We had to listen to the service online from a phone to the speaker. That day, they had some challenges with the Internet. Their head Pastor would usually preach and the other branches would live stream or listen in. The members were very warm and I felt welcomed at their church.

I was able to visit the Pigeon point Heritage Park, the park was so peaceful and the beach was so beautiful.
I also went kayaking and paddle boarding and it was my first time doing both. I went so far out in the ocean kayaking that I reached the furthest boundary for persons to cross. The paddle boarding was a bit difficult but I still enjoyed the experience.

On my birthday, I went for breakfast at Kariwak Village. The Customer service and food were Amazing. I rented a car and drove to Argyle Waterfalls. I couldn't go to Tobago and not hit a hike leading to a waterfall. I met some people and we all went up for the hike. One Mother said "she has to live for her children," because she did not want to go up to one of the highest peaks on the waterfalls. I went up with the tour guy about 450 feet above sea level. It was very high but magnificent at the same time.
Later on, I visited Jemma's Treehouse Restaurant in Speyside, which is considered to be the country side. The view and ambience were so Beautiful. Also, The food was so delicious and filling.
I went out that very night and it was relaxing and refreshing.

On my last day in Tobago I visited Mt. Irvine beach & Buccoo Beach & Boardwalk. The boadwalk was so lovely and the beach was one of the best beaches I have visited in Tobago.
I had one of the most wonderful vacations & birthdays ever and I thank God for it.

I leave this scripture with you as I end this blog post.
Psalm 27:13 (NIV)
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
May you hold on tight to Jesus in every circumstance and I pray that you will see his goodness in the land of the living.
